Voice Controlled Technologies

Voice Controlled Technologies

It is undeniable that over the years, scientists have achieved several technological milestones. Scientists have managed to bring to life some complex concepts that were thought would only be seen in science fiction movies.

Science fiction movies have depicted for over decades, humans seamlessly talking to robots as they would family or friends and get accurate and emotional responses. On the other hand, in reality, it has been frustrating to have a fluid interaction with the robots. It is amazing how Google now interprets user audio input and effectively executes the commands.

Manufacturers have endeavored to build devices that are either controlled or activated by specific gestures, voice and even touch. This eliminates the need to use switches, dials, buttons and even steering wheels in vehicles such as Google’s self-driving cars.

In as much as there has been a lot of excitement in the world of technology, one can’t help but notice that they seem to make human beings as lazy as possible as everything is going hands free; vehicles, telephones and remote control devices notwithstanding.

Voice Controlled Technologies

Voice controlled technologies have on the other hand helped in multi-tasking as one can easily operate machines and devices through vocal commands while doing other things making them handle tasks faster and efficiently.  You’re probably already using or familiar with a bunch of voice technologies.  Siri from Apple, Cortana from Microsoft and the Google Assistant on the new Pixel phone, you can ask any of them questions or give basic commands.

There are a number of great innovations and some of the three most awe inspiring are:

1. Ivee

Ivee is a smart alarm clock that gives more than what normal alarm clocks do. It provides weather, news, stocks and all the info that everyone needs in the morning; and even better, it is commanded by voice.

2. Samsung Smart TV

This is literally a smart television as one can operate the TV without having to press a single button or even move an inch from the comfort of their seats. It can be switched on and off and channels changed using voice commands.

3. Girl Tech Password Journal 8

In deed every girl needs a diary to write down their best and worst experiences and have them kept safely away from any stray eyes; and what better device to assure them that their secrets are safe than Girl Tech Password Journal 8.

This is a modern diary that is only activated by loudly saying the password to open the diary; though taking care not to alert eavesdroppers.

We have already seen great innovations in the 20th century, it is hard and exciting to imagine where voice control and other technologies will take us.

Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

Amongst one of the most useful technologies around, artificial intelligence is a game changer for many organizations. Its use in modern technology has extensively increased computers abilities to interact with human beings.  Machine learning and artificial intelligence promise to be one of the most exciting fields of study for years to come.

More About Artificial Intelligence

Most are familiar with what artificial intelligence is to some point, but aren’t familiar with how much they use it and to what extent it helps their daily routine. Artificial intelligence is in cameras, phones, computers, and many other devices. In cameras, artificial intelligence often alters films to look less shaky, and more natural. In phones and computers, it memorizes user habits to allow them to navigate faster.

What Makes It Artificial Intelligence

Computerized technology has spread like a virus, but not all of it is artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence must be, well, “Intelligent.” A simple calculator uses computerized functions all the time, but it just takes basic input. Truly intelligent computations can calculate more than just basic inputs, but also habits. Artificial intelligence is computational code that uses data to predict and analyze the best solution for the user.

Machine Learning

A very advanced form of artificial intelligence, machine learning utilizes data from the user as they progress throughout their work.  Machine data can be utilized in advanced ways that users don’t even realize. If someone hovers over an advertisement on a computer, but they move away. They may think that nothing happened because they didn’t click it, but similar advertisements end up in their email inbox. This advanced learning has made users experience unique and streamlined.  Here is a video explaining machine learning.

Supervised Versus Unsupervised

Unsupervised data starts with unlabeled data. It’s designed to find patterns and similarities in data. Its use is excellent in data mining and finding anomalies. However supervised learning is used in commercial scenarios. It takes data from websites, social media, and so on. This data makes one of the biggest differences for users every day, and can almost read their mind.  Almost every piece of software that is on the market has some sort of supervised machine learning, and can teach the computer how to make users have a better experience.

User experience has been greatly increased by artificial experience, and is incorporated into almost every advanced piece of software. From computers, cell phones, cameras, and many more. Some machine learning can get data that would take years to go through, and turn out a list of connections and results. Other machine learning has assisted in finding user’s preferences. Machine learning is a type of artificial intelligence that has changed how people work with computers, and made things easier in ways users often don’t even realize.
